On the afternoon of February 1st 2013, an artwork salon themed as “sharing traditional Chinese culture and creating success through mutual collaboration” kicked off on the 23rd floor of Jiaming center. More than 20 senior managers from Jiaming Center’s clientele gathered amidst a joyous ambience, spending a pleasant afternoon meeting friends and appreciating many masterpieces, sipping tea and enjoying other Chinese traditional art forms. The event not only gave the participants a unique feast of the arts, it also provided an excellent platform for interaction between various counterparts in the industry.
With increasing domestic and foreign awareness towards traditional eastern culture in recent years, traditional Chinese painting, an art form of unique charm, distinguishes itself by its rare collection and investment value. One can be rewarded with both visual enjoyment and spiritual enlightenment through appreciating traditional Chinese painting. To help fellow colleagues get a better sense and appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese painting, Chairman Wang Tingyue also shared with the guests many of his treasured pieces of contemporary paintings by many renowned Chinese artists. He hopes to appreciate and share with guests the cultural connotation of these paintings.
The highlight of the event was inviting Mr. Lee Aiguo to grace the occasion. Mr. Lee, one of China’s masters of traditional Chinese painting is renowned for both his painting and calligraphy works. As vice director and secretary general of the Chinese Painting Art Committee of Beijing Artists Association, Mr. Lee served as the keynote speaker of this appreciation event. He introduced the cultural charm and value of art collection to guests and also shared his unique understanding of art collection. This made the event more fruitful and informative, allowing the guests to fully appreciate the world of art collecting.
In order to liven up the ambience when appreciating valued paintings, we carefully prepared Guzheng, ink wash painting performances and a series of exciting Kung Fu tea shows, the charm of these traditional art forms allowed guests to be infused in authentic Chinese culture. At the beginning of the event, a Guzheng performer, dressed in traditional blue and white cheongsam, played the tune of “Mountain and Flowing Water” to welcome our distinguished guests. Following that, guests were completely mesmerized by the magical performance of Yan Junjie, a well-known ink wash painting performer. Finally, an expert in the art of tea preparation delivered a Kung Fu tea performance. The cozy ambience allowed all the guests to enjoy sipping their tea and socializing. Some of the guests lingered on to further enjoy the salon even when the event ended.
