In order to encourage “zero-carbon” transportation and help the city achieve its green-transport goals, a Jiaming Investment project will introduce electric-vehicle (EV) charging facilities to facilitate green transportation in the city.
Jiaming Investment is working with Potevio New Energy Co., Ltd. (Potevio) to install nine public EV charging stations in Jiaming Maple Park’s car park. The charging facilities will have excellent compatibility with current standards, and Jiaming will continue to expand the availability of charging facilities as the project proceeds so that the facilities will in the future be capable of supporting the charging requirements of all EV brands. The EV charging facilities are expected be available for use by the end of 2015.
Vehicles powered by new-energy sources are being strongly supported and promoted by the state due to their eco-friendly credentials, and there is also a trend toward rapidly increasing consumer demand for vehicles of this type. The installation of the public EV charging stations involved in the current project will make life considerably more convenient for EV users and further improve the already excellent range of facilities of Jiaming Maple Park. Moreover, as an advocate and pioneer of green buildings, Jiaming Investment hopes that by taking action it can promote green, healthy travel concepts, spur on the development of sustainable transport and make a contribution to the sustainable development of cities.
As Jiaming Investment’s most recent masterpiece, Jiaming Maple Park also continues Jiaming’s unstinting efforts in the green building sector. The project uses the world’s most advanced technologies and equipment, including VAV air-conditioning systems, low-E glass curtain walls, rainwater collection systems and solar power systems, to ensure that every aspect from building design and materials selection to construction is subject to environmental monitoring. The goals of this effort are to create a harmonious union of nature and buildings, of buildings and humans, to minimize the health effects of all kinds of pollution, and ultimately to allow the project to become the first business park in Beijing to receive LEED platinum pre-certification.
The project also addresses Beijing’s smog problem with the unique deployment of an intelligent haze-control system. This system monitors the PM2.5 particle concentration in real time to determine whether to allow replacement air to enter indoor areas, thereby achieving PM2.5 purification efficiency levels of higher than 90% while the post-purification PM2.5 levels are far lower than the 75 μg/m³ Air Quality Standard requirements planned for implementation in China starting in 2016.
We believe that it is only right and proper that Jiaming and other companies invest in the development of green buildings and green energy sources, and that this contribution to the sustainable development of cities will allow us to embrace the sight of blue skies and white clouds once again.
